Committee on Academic Professional Status

The committee makes recommendations to the executive vice president and university provost regarding policies and procedures governing academic professionals for performance review, salary adjustments, retention, advancement/promotion, and dismissal. The committee is responsible to the executive vice president and university provost. Members are elected by the academic professionals. The committee shall have six members with staggered three-year terms and two alternates who shall serve a one-year term. At any time, the committee shall have only one member from any academic unit, except that the larger colleges/units may have up to two members. To be eligible, academic professionals must have at least three years of service at Arizona State University. No more than one individual on a year-to-year appointment shall serve on the committee at any time. No person shall serve concurrently on the committee and the Academic Professional Grievance Committee or other elected university-level academic professional standing committees.
