We know that there are many things to deal with as you assume your new position at ASU and this page was designed to make the transition a little easier for new faculty. There is a tremendous amount of information on the Web to answer many of your questions, but it is often difficult to know how to find it. We hope this Web page helps you locate that information and to get settled at ASU.
Welcome Events
New faculty can expect an invitation to several events in August that are designed to orient you to ASU, and to give you an opportunity to meet other faculty.

The Human Resources site provides information about payroll, benefits, employee services, and HR on your campus.

New Employee Orientation
Orientation is designed to acquaint new benefits-eligible faculty and staff with ASU and provide information about major benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans.
Computer Access: ASURITE User ID
ASU Help Desk: 480-965-6500
After you receive your ASU ID number, you will be able to obtain a computer account through the online activation process from any on-campus computer. Refer also to the PDF instructions on how to activate your ASURITE UserID.
Sun Card - ASU's Photo Identification Card
After you receive your ASU ID number, you can obtain a Sun Card (your permanent ASU photo ID) at the Sun Card Office on your campus. This ID may be used to obtain library privileges and bookstore and events ticket discounts.
Center for Learning and Teaching Excellence
ASU's Center for Learning and Teaching Excellence collaborates with other campus units to offer faculty a full range of support for teaching. Please visit the CLTE Web site to discover resources that match your particular interests. Among other things, CLTE and its partners offer workshops, seminars, online resources, print materials and individual consultations.
Research and Creative Activities
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Affairs has a number of online resources for researchers.
Office for Research and Sponsored Projects Administration (ORSPA)
ORSPA assists faculty, staff and students to secure and administer outside support for their instructional, research and public service activities. Faculty can search for their Sponsored Officer's contact information online.
Research Policies
The Research and Sponsored Projects Policies and Procedures Manual guides funded and unfunded projects conducted at ASU.
