Relocating Your Household

While you are preparing to join the ASU community, there is also much to do to relocate your entire household. If that includes family, there are even more details to handle. Moving, finding jobs, schools, doctors, vehicle registration and more make the first few weeks and months a hectic blur. ASU wants to help you and your family feel at home here as quickly as possible.

ASU’s four campuses are located in the Greater Phoenix area, also known as the “Valley of the Sun” or the “Valley,” comprised of twenty-three communities and part of Maricopa County, the nation’s fourth most populous county. ASU’s founding campus, the Tempe campus, is located in Tempe [pronounced Tem’pE], a vibrant college town adjacent to Phoenix. The West campus is located in west Phoenix, also near Glendale, and the Polytechnic campus is in Arizona’s third largest city, Mesa. ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus will open in Fall 2006 in the urban heart of Phoenix.

Collected here are a number of great resources for relocating to the Phoenix area. Several of the city pages are also excellence resources, even if you’re not moving to that city. We encourage spouses and partners to use this site as a starting point for planning life in your new home.
