Arizona State University has adopted the Interfolio Faculty Information System for several of its academic personnel processes through a partnership between the Office of the Executive Vice President and University Provost, and the University Technology Office. At ASU, the Interfolio system will be known as the Academic Personnel Actions Reporting System (APARS).
Our goal is to implement a “one-stop shopping” experience for academic personnel processes that leverages shared resources and improves service delivery, consistency and reporting for academic personnel, administrators and staff.
The Academic Personnel Actions Reporting System (APARS) helps institutions provide a centralized product for managing academic personnel data and processes in a secure system.
APARS contains three modules: Faculty Search; Review, Promotion & Tenure; and Faculty 180. These modules operate independently of one another and will be gradually implemented for enterprise use, starting with Faculty Search in Summer 2019. This page will be updated with resources and more information about each of the three modules as it becomes available.
Faculty Search (Recruitment): This product assists search committees in tracking and evaluating candidates.
Faculty180 (Annual Activity Reporting): Faculty 180 is an electronic system for faculty to report activities for annual reviews.
Review, Promotion and Tenure (RPT): This product streamlines the review process for tenure and/or promotion, and should make it easier for candidates, external reviewers and institutional committees to review the files.
ASU policy and established processes remain in effect for all academic personnel processes, whether or not they are conducted within the Academic Personnel Actions Reporting System.
