ASU New Faculty Orientation for Tenured and Tenure-track Faculty

The 2020 ASU New Faculty Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Deans, chairs, and directors of the new faculty members will be invited to join for virtual break-out sessions by college.

Each year, ASU hosts the New Faculty Orientation for newly-hired tenured and tenure-track faculty members, who will receive invitations in late July. President Michael Crow and Executive Vice President and University Provost Mark Searle will attend. This orientation will provide an introduction to the university at large and will complement college orientations held separately. Deans, chairs, and directors will be invited later, in August, if their academic unit is welcoming new tenured or tenure-track faculty members.

Please note: since this is already a large meeting, we cannot invite every administrator we’d like to. However, for example, if a dean cannot attend, he/she can appoint an associate dean to attend in his/her stead. This event is by invitation only and will come in the form of an email from Vice Provost Deborah Clarke addressed directly to the person being invited. All attendees must register for the event.
