Globally focused committees and working groups span university units. Key groups and charges include:
This committee provides guidance to the Study Abroad Office (SAO) on a variety of complex issues related to the health, safety, and security of ASU study abroad program faculty, staff, and participants. Committe representatives include individuals from the Office of the University Provost, Risk and Emergency Management, the Office of General Counsel, the Study Abroad Faculty Advisory Committee and the SAO.

This committee, made up faculty and staff, advocates the message of study abroad across the institution, and serves as a sounding board for the Study Abroad Office (SAO) as it pertains to new program models, funding sources, and program policies.

This committee conducts risk assessments of proposed ASU-related student travel to a “high risk” destination submitted through the Student International Travel Registration system and has the authority to approve or deny those proposals. Committee includes representatives from the Office of the University Provost, Risk and Emergency Management, the Office of General Counsel, the Study Abroad Office, and the academic unit of the traveling student.

The University International Student Services Committee meets monthly to share information and coordinate efforts in support of ASU international students. The committee is comprised of ASU staff who represents university services and academic units that play a critical role in support of student success.
