The development of clean energy has historically been an important research area for Arizona State University's School of Molecular Sciences. In this context the study of natural and artificial photosynthetic systems has been of central importance.
Balancing work and research can be tough for students. Thanks to generous contributions from the Arizona State University psychology community, the Jenessa Shapiro Undergraduate Research Scholarship is helping to continue the research opportunities of psychology students Emanuel Angulo Rodriguez and Missy Tran.
Upon graduating high school, Shanae Germick thought it most beneficial to begin her studies at a community college to further explore her interests and career goals. Participating in extracurricular activities while at Paradise Valley Community College further helped her gain hands-on learning experiences in the political arena — and a clearer picture of her future.
Undergraduates in Arizona State University's Department of Psychology recently competed virtually for the title of most outstanding undergraduate research thesis. Finalists Amanda Acuna, Nicole Taylor and Mya Carrizosa presented research on major depression disorders, alcohol addiction in minority populations and on the genetic and environmental contributions to child psychopathology.

Joshua Robinaugh grew up in Lone Tree, Colorado, but moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 2010 where he has lived ever since. And since enrolling at Arizona State University to obtain his bachelor’s in history, he has been an active member of the community.
