Meet the leadership team.

The Office of the University Provost provides leadership to all of the university's campuses and academic programs, fostering excellence in teaching, research and service to the community. The provost office guides the university's mission in providing educational quality and access, and directs the university's efforts in strategic redesign of its academic mission to achieve the vision of The New American University.

Arizona State University has adopted the core principles of the University of Chicago statement, which affirm the role of academic freedom and freedom of expression on college campuses and are consistent with ASU’s existing policies.

Arizona State University’s existing principles on the importance of academic freedom and freedom of opinion and expression are also consistent with the July 28, 2020 report by the United Nations to the General Assembly entitled, “Promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression.”
