Meet the mentors

Mentors for 2018-2019

Aidan McDaniel

Aidan is a Sophomore from Chandler, Arizona and is involved in Intramural Flag Football. Within the LEAD Program her is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD would have to be creating life long friendships and learning how to network with the community!

Allana Beckman

Allana is a Sophomore from Voorhees, New Jersey and is involved in Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, LEAD, DECA. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be being the manager position for the Showcase during the Spring semester of her freshman year.

Andrew Murphy

Andrew is a Senior from Rio Rico, Arizona and is involved in ASU SCMA. Within the LEAD Program he is a Senior Mentor and his project is working with the Recruitment committee. His favorite memory from LEAD would be the LEAD Events, like the Dodgeball event.

Anuhea Gampong

Anuhea is a Sophomore from Mililani, Hawaii. She takes part and is involved in Alpha Pi Omega Sorority as well as INC. Within the LEAD Program, she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD are the LEAD Kick-Off events. She enjoys seeing students take time out of their day to come hang out with their mentors as well as with other mentors within LEAD. She also enjoys hanging out with other mentors and talking to them about classes and building a sense of community with each other.

Ashley Sanchez

Ashley is a Junior from Los Angeles, California and is involved in School of Film, dance, and theatre, Screenwriting club, and meditation club. Within the LEAD Program she is a Senior Mentor and her Senior project is Social Media and Mentor Events. Her favorite memory from LEAD would be the debates in her UNI 110 class freshman year because it taught her quick thinking, sound argument, and how to confidently speak.

Austin Fuhrman

Austin is a Sophomore from Los Angeles, California and is involved in the ASU hockey club. Within the LEAD Program he is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD would have to be writing on his professor, Ryan's, discussion board.

Aysia Gregory

Aysia is a Junior from Torrance, California and at Arizona State University, she is involved in 942 Crew, American Red Cross, and Relay for Life. Within the LEAD Program she is a Senior Mentor. Her project is helping to coordinate guest speakers at staff meetings as well as checking in and writing monthly newsletters for the LEAD mentor families. Her favorite memory from LEAD would be all of the fun events like the LEAD Halloween movie night!

Brandon Michelena

Brandon is a Junior at Arizona State University and is originally from Gilbert, AZ. With the LEAD Program, he serves as a student mentor and has been for 2 years. Brandon is majoring is Business (Law) and Supply Chain Management. He is involved on campus within Acacia Fraternity and Order of Omega. His favorite memory in LEAD is when he met some of his best friends freshman year in his LEAD classes.

Brandon Rehbock

Brandon is a Sophomore from Chicago, Illinois and is involved in LEAD. Within the LEAD Program he is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD would have to be meeting new people and making friends.

Cameron Johnson

Cameron is a Sophomore from Mesa, Arizona. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be all the events LEAD coordinates. Cameron also really likes the small class sizes, as it helped to ease her way into the first year of college.

Citlalli Hernandez

Lalli is a Sophomore from Phoenix, Arizona. She is a student mentor and one of her favorite memories from LEAD is meeting new people and feeling more confident within herself and her school work.

Claudia Hernandez

Claudia is a Sophomore from Phoenix, Arizona. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be how engaging the learning environment is and how she was able to use it outside the classroom with her job and personal life.

Cody Potts

Cody Potts is a Sophomore from Glendale, Arizona and is involved in the Teacher's College Club at West Campus. Within the LEAD Program he is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD is making friends through the program and now working with them.

Destany Torres

Destany is a Sophomore from Chicago, Illinois and is involved in Change-makers on West and Tempe Campus. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD was watching and preparing for Debates in her UNI 110 Class.

Eisa Taherkalateh

Eisa is a Sophomore from Phoenix, Arizona. Within the LEAD Program he is a student mentor. Eisa’s favorite memory from LEAD would have to be the debates from UNI 110.

Elain Shubat

Elain is a Sophomore from Commerce City, Colorado and is involved in Co-Volunteer Board for Camp Kesem at ASU. She is also apart of Sigma Kappa. Within the LEAD Program, she is a student mentor and one of her favorite memories from when she was a student in LEAD is when she hung out and had study sessions with her cohort. As a mentor, one of her favorite memories from this year would have to be helping one of students with his position paper.

Elizabeth Pino  LEAD Program mentor

Elizabeth Pino

Elizabeth is a Sophomore at Arizona State University and has been involved in the ICMA (International City Management Association) since her freshman year, as well as being involved in the French Club. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD is Fall training where she got to meet all the other mentors.

Eugenio Vazquez

Eugenio is a Junior from Litchfield Park, Arizona. Within the LEAD Program he is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD would have to be when he first had a meeting with two of his mentees. The two students came to meet him and he felt as though he really helped those students to achieve all that they could.

Giselle Delatorre

Giselle is a Sophomore at Arizona State University and is involved in the Business of fashion. Within the LEAD Program, she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD is the second semester project where she got to work with the class and present their project to all the LEAD classes.

Hovag Boyadjian

Hovag is a Junior from Orange County, California and at Arizona State University, he is involved in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Within the LEAD Program Hovag is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD is the first time he mentored and met so many new faces that it pushed him out of his comfort zone.

Isaac Rosenblum

Isaac is a Junior from Tucson, Arizona. Within the LEAD Program he is a Senior Mentor and his Senior project is working with the events committee. His favorite memory from LEAD would be the LEAD dodgeball event that was hosted.

Isabella Hulsizer

Isabella is a Junior from Chandler, Arizona and is in Delta Gamma and Walter Cronkite College Council. Within the LEAD Program she is a Senior Mentor and her Senior project is working with the Social Media and Administration committees. Her favorite memory from LEAD would be meeting some of her closest friends freshman year!

Jackie Lujan

Jackie is a Sophomore from El Paso, Texas. Jackie is involved in the Teachers College Council Executive Board, and within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor. Jackie’s favorite memory from LEAD is the LEAD Showcase which she partook in during her Freshman year.

Jarius is a Sophomore from Scottsdale, Arizona and is involved in LEAD as a student mentor. Jairus’s favorite memory from LEAD would have to be the showcase and how the entire class came together to create a project that they thought could make a difference in the local community.

Jazmyne is a Sophomore from San Tan Valley, Arizona and is involved in the Black African Coalition, Business of Fashion Club, and she is a Residential Engagement Leader for W. P. Carey. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be working with people over the past year who she’s met through the LEAD Program that have now become some of her close friends.

Jessica Verona

Jessica is a Sophomore and is involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma, Association for Women in Sports Media, as well as Autism Speaks. Within the LEAD Program, she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD is when she participated in the Debates from the UNI110 course.

Jordan Moffat

Jordan is a Sophomore from San Francisco, California. Within the LEAD Program Jordan is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD would have to be having lunch with his cohort and mentor every Monday after ASU 151.

Joseph Tyler

Joe is a Junior from Los Angeles, California and is involved in SBA, NHSC, as well as being a former ASU track athlete. Within the LEAD Program he is a Senior Mentor and his project is working on the Marketing committee. His favorite memory from LEAD would be chilling in class with his headphones and hood on observing his classmates participate in dialogue.

Kelly Shapiro

Kelly is a Senior from Valencia, California and is involved with the Study Abroad Alumni. Within the LEAD Program she is a Senior Mentor and her project is working to plan mentor events on the events committee. Her favorite memory from LEAD would be the connections she has made through professors and other students. LEAD opened a lot of opportunities for her to be successful at ASU.

Lexi Chavez

Lexi is a Junior from San Diego, California and is involved in the Habitat for Humanity club. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD is the staff meeting where she did a relationship building activity where she had to go up in front of the room and act out what artist she were. She thought this activity was fun and a way to work together as a team to figure out who their peer was acting out.

Leyla Mejia

Leyla is a Junior from Goodyear, Arizona and is involved in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars as a member and volunteer. Within the LEAD Program she is a Senior Mentor and her project is the certificate Program. Her favorite memory from LEAD would be being able to share her classes' solution to a campus problem at the Showcase second semester.

Mason Stewart

Mason is a Sophomore from Brussels, Belgium and is involved in LEAD. Within the LEAD Program he is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD would have to be facilitating his first LEAD class!

Megan Cook

Megan is a Junior from Tucson, Arizona and is involved on campus as a Residential Engagement Leader, WPC101 Facilitator, as well as Woman Business Leaders. Within the LEAD Program she is a Senior Mentor and her project is helping to work on the LEAD Certificate Program as well as planning and running Senior Mentor meetings. Her favorite memory from LEAD would be going bowling with all the mentors last year and getting to know fellow mentors and developing friendships.

Paola Diaz Aguilar

Paola is a Sophomore from Peoria, Arizona and is involved in Gold Guide for New Student Family Programs. She is also a part of the Leadership Team for NSFP. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be being able to connect and meet new people.

Rory Lockett

Rory is a Sophomore from Memphis, Tennessee and is involved with the organization Defend Our Future. Within the LEAD Program he is a student mentor and his favorite memory from LEAD would have to be the group projects because participating in the end result of everyone's hard work was a lot of fun.

Teiaura Roberson

Teiaura is a Sophomore from Bullhead City, Arizona. Within the LEAD Program, she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be Fall training. The first day of training was just so much fun; there was so much positivity and happiness amongst the staff. She enjoyed meeting all the mentors from all the campuses.

Tessa Faubion

Tessa is a Senior from Munster, Indiana. One of Tessa’s involvements on campus is that she is involved in the German Club. Within the LEAD Program, she is a Senior Mentor involved in the recruitment committee. Her favorite memory from LEAD would be meeting all her great friends and professors!

Therese Ribakare

Therese is a Junior from Phoenix, Arizona and is involved in Psi Chi, AFSA, and NSCS. Within the LEAD Program she is a Senior Mentor and her project is working on the Recruitment committee. Her favorite memory from LEAD is meeting one of her best friends.

Valentina Gerasimova

Valentina is a Sophomore from Russia and is involved in the Student Government (USGT). Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be the training day when they did activities, tie-dyed shirts, and bonded as a staff.

Valerie Gomez

Valerie is a Junior from Palo Alto, California and is involved in the ASU German Club. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be LEAD events like the LEAD Kick-Off.

Victoria Collins

Victoria is a Junior from Crystal Lake, Illinois and is involved in Alpha Chi Omega. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be the showcase from her Freshman year.

Yarina Gutierrez

Yarina is a Sophomore from San Diego, California. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be that she got to meet so many new people it really helped her become more outgoing.

Yaritza Hernandez

Yaritza is a Sophomore, standing junior from Phoenix, Arizona and is involved in Astro-Devils (Historian), Los Diablos (Secretary), PCs for Refugees at ASU Global Resolve Club, Chispa ASU Tempe Honor Society for Sustainability Chapter at ASU, and Be A Leader Foundation Alumni Association. Within the LEAD Program she is a student mentor and her favorite memory from LEAD would have to be going to a concert with one of her mentees!
