ASU Resources Available for Your MyPath2ASU™ Students

Students signed up for MyPath2ASU™ receive a multitude of benefits that enable them to save both time and money as they pursue their bachelor’s degree. As part of this connected guided pathway experience, MyPath2ASU™ students receive informative communications and access to course applicability tools and resources to help them navigate the transfer process and ultimately succeed on their journey to Arizona State University.

Upon signing up for MyPath2ASU™, students receive a welcome letter from the college dean of their pathway of choice. This welcome not only imparts a feeling of connectedness for transfer students but also provides valuable information, including information on how to log into their ASU Transfer Guide account and utilize the ASU resources available to them. The dean’s welcome further facilitates connections with their ASU transfer coordinator, as well as Academic Alliances transfer student ambassadors who provide that special peer-to-peer connection and shared experience of transferring from a community college to ASU.

MyPath2ASU™ Tools and Resources: The ASU Transfer Guide

The ASU Transfer Guide enables students to search for course equivalencies, submit course evaluations, and provides access to their saved MyPath2ASU™ degree program.

MyPath2ASU™ is part of the ASU Transfer Guide. The personalized experience helps students plan which classes to take at their current institution that will apply to their bachelor’s degree at ASU. Community college MyPath2ASU™ students are encouraged to log in to their ASU My Transfer Guide account regularly to keep apprised of their next steps to the university.

With My Transfer Guide, MyPath2ASU™ students are able to track their progress, term by term, as they work towards completing their degree requirements at their community college.

Meet Jennifer Jaimes from Mohave Community College

Jennifer started her college journey at Mohave Community College, “I decided to attend community college because it was not financially attainable for me to attend a four-year university. Attending a community college allowed me to pursue my career goals without having to take out loans or grants so early on in my career.”

During her time at Mohave Community College, she took advantage of the many involvement opportunities offered. “Throughout my time that I was a student at MCC, I served as the President for the Student Activities Council, and as a Public Relations officer for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. During these leadership roles, I was able to organize and host events for both the college and the community, which allowed me to create new relationships and connections.”

Jennifer participated in the MyPath2ASU™ program. “The ASU pathway program allowed me to create a college pathway that was loan and debt-free with the help of scholarships from College Success Arizona and the All-Arizona academic team.”

The reason Jennifer decided to attend ASU@LakeHavasu is because of the new program they started offering as she was looking for a four-year university. “In May of 2020 they announced that they had created a new program at Lake Havasu for elementary teachers, so really it was just perfect timing”. Now at ASU@Lake Havasu, Jennifer is majoring in elementary education. “I choose to pursue an elementary education degree because, for many students, teachers provide a safe space for them to grow, learn, and express themselves. It amazes me that in the future, I will be teaching the next generation of leaders that believe in themselves and their potential to change the world for the better.”

Her advice to new transfer students is, “ to embrace the post-secondary journey. Do not feel ashamed or less proud of being a transfer student. I promise you, being a transfer student will be a life-changing and remarkable experience.”

After her expected graduation in Spring 2023, Jennifer plans on continuing her educational journey.

We invite you to watch as Jennifer gives advice on transferring to ASU!

ASU@Lake Havasu
Located in Lake Havasu City along the California border, ASU@Lake Havasu offers a unique and immersive learning experience for students in western Arizona. With degrees offered in eight academic disciplines, students have a wide array of experiential programs to choose from. Not only do students “learn by doing” to gain practical, hands-on experience to be well prepared for the ever-evolving job market, but they do so in a picturesque setting filled with outdoor adventure and beauty. And because of the small-town feel, students often form close relationships with their professors and within the community. Plus, this is a wonderful choice for student veterans, as 12 percent of the student population comprise veterans or their family members.
