ASU Transfer Times: November 2020

Recap of National Transfer Student Week at ASU

Arizona State University is proud to have offered new programming to coincide with National Transfer Student Week, which took place from October 19 through 22, 2020. Virtual sessions were offered for staff, faculty and students, and included a variety of topics to assist with the transfer process. Sessions included information on using ASU’s transfer tools, tracking a student’s transfer to ASU, the application process, and opportunities to engage with the colleges offering students’ majors of interest.

We are excited to share that we had over 150 unique participants for our staff and faculty sessions, and almost 300 students participating in our student-focused sessions as well! We are always open to your suggestions and areas of interest for future programming, so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts with the Academic Alliances team.

Founded in 2012, the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University is the only health college of its kind — which is what you would expect from the most innovative university in the nation. Here, health is considered across disciplines, as tomorrow’s leaders in health address the challenges facing people and communities to stay healthy, improve their health and manage chronic disease.

Transfer students benefit from the flexibility of health degrees available on ASU’s four Phoenix area campuses and online. Students can move with ease from community colleges to the university with ASU’s MyPath2ASU™ transfer experience . The program enables students to finish many of the prerequisites required for their bachelor's degree, while pursuing their associate's degree simultaneously, all while providing a smooth transition from community college to the university. MyPath2ASU™ lays out course applicability and what is expected for an ASU College of Health Solutions bachelor's degree. Learn more about MyPath2ASU™

The College of Health Solutions offers transfer students:

  • A breadth of degree options across many aspects of health.
  • Highly ranked programs in speech and hearing science.
  • Practical learning opportunities through internships and capstone projects.
  • Participation in research projects with community impact.
  • A friendly learning environment with supportive faculty and staff.

Many of our students are motivated by a desire to help others. Our college helps them make an impact on people and communities as students. The ASU Speech and Hearing Clinic serves patients with communication needs as it trains students who aim to become audiologists, speech-language pathologists and speech-language pathology assistants. Our Translational Teams allow students to get involved in research that addresses major health problems. And COVID-19 initiatives at the college like the Resource Hub and Diagnostic Commons could not exist without student input and support.
