Public Safety Advisory Committee - Polytechnic campus

Regina Matos, Assistant Dean, Dean of Students OfficeThe committee is responsible to the Campus Administrative Services Officers (CASOs). The mission of the PSAC is to assure the ASU Police Department remain responsive to the needs of the campuses and local communities and to provide the university administration with a vehicle to receive regular input on issues surrounding crime abatement, law enforcement, public safety, and emergency preparedness. The major role of the PSAC is advisory and consultative. The PSAC receives comments and suggestions from the public at large, facilitates communication, provides advice, reviews complaints against the ASU PD or its members, and makes recommendations accordingly to the CASOs and/or the directors of ASU PD. Employee and local community representatives are appointed by the CASOs and student representatives are appointed by the president on the recommendation of the CASOs.
