College of Global Futures college spotlight
The Arizona State University College of Global Futures prepares students to address some of the most significant challenges of our time. From ensuring the social benefits of powerful new technologies and creating just and sustainable futures to exploring solutions to emerging issues, The College of Global Futures transcends the limitations of conventional thinking.
Our students have numerous opportunities to work closely with professors and engage in exciting research to uncover more inclusive futures. ASU ranks No. 6 in national research expenditures among institutions without a medical school.
The College of Global Futures offers many undergraduate programs to increase students knowledge and skills in complexity, innovation, and sustainability. There is an increasing demand for college graduates who understand the complexity of the challenges we face, have transdisciplinary perspectives, are collaborative, have effective problem-solving skills, and can envision and implement innovative solutions.
Nicole Herrera, assistant director of recruitment and outreach would love to meet with you and your team to further discuss our MyPath2ASU transfer pathway program and how the College of Global Futures undergraduate degrees align with your institution’s.
We invite you to join us for a virtual presentation about our college and how students can seamlessly transfer into the College of Global Futures.

ASU Local in the community
Karla Vera is one of the first ASU Local in Yuma’s inaugural cohort of students for spring 2022. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business law after completing her business associate degree from Arizona Western College.
In addition to attending ASU Local full time, she also worked as an office assistant for the human resources department of the City of San Luis, Arizona. As with many Yuma students, Vera is eager to make her mark on the world with her many goals. She plans to learn how to manage stocks, obtain her law degree, work with a prestigious company as an attorney and, in 40 years, open her own business — a coffee shop.
As the oldest of four children, Vera is proud to set an example of optimism and determination for her three younger sisters.
ASU Local has locations in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., and recently opened its doors at the Arizona Western College campus. The program combines in-person programming and personalized support with online coursework to empower student success. Students can choose from 130+ online majors to seamlessly transfer into the program. Students can apply for fall 2022 and spring 2023 at all three locations. Learn more about ASU Local.
