Council of Academic Advisors

All-CAA

All-CAA meetings are generally paired with Best Practices and Advising Awards. These meetings serve as an avenue for topics with pan-campus significance to be reviewed as well as an opportunity for cross-campus connection among the CAA community.

Best Practices (November)

CAA Best Practices is a professional conference available to the advising community at Arizona State University. A call for proposals will be advertised in the CAA Digest in advance of this event. Presentations on timely and wide-ranging topics are encouraged.

Proposals should follow NACADA proposal guidelines.

Kent M Christiansen and Advising Awards (April)

In honor of Dr. Kent M Christiansen's service and dedication to the professions of both teaching and academic advising, the Council of Academic Advisors established the Kent M Christiansen Memorial Lecture to recognize his nearly thirty years of dedication to academic advising at Arizona State University.

Additionally, each year the Council of Academic Advisors hosts Advising Awards in order to recognize outstanding members of the ASU community who help to further the mission of academic advising. This year, we've decided to combine the KMC Lecture and Advising Awards into one celebration that you won't want to miss! Select award recipients may be supported at the institutional level for a NACADA award nomination.

Nominations are not open yet, please be on the lookout for a CAA Special Announcement coming soon.
