ASU Transfer Times April 2023
Spring Training 2023 recording now available
Academic Alliances was excited to host our Spring Training sessions for our ASU colleagues and community college partners. This was a great opportunity to provide updates related to transfer and ASU, as well as step-by-step guidance on using our transfer pathway tool, MyPath2ASU® . This year we had 38 community colleges from across the nation participate. We sincerely appreciate everyone who took the time to join us and contribute to the lively discussions.
And if you missed Spring Training, no problem! You can watch a recording of the webinar at your convenience. The recorded session is an excellent resource for gaining insight into the topics discussed during the live event.
As always, thank you for your collaboration throughout the year. For additional assistance related to MyPath2ASU, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Kathy Silberman at email@example.com.
Resources for our partners
Check out Academic Alliances’ updated webpages! Visit our one-stop-shop to access not only our recorded Spring Training webinars, but also onboarding and engagement resources including the MyPath2ASU flyer, MyPath2ASU training opportunities, student spotlights and more.
If your college would like copies of the MyPath2ASU flyers, please let us know — we’d be happy to send you a package for your transfer location. Once you receive them, we’d love for you to send us a picture of the flyers being displayed on your campus. We will use the picture in an upcoming social media campaign to spotlight your campus and our partnership.
Plus, if you know of any students who transferred, or are transferring to ASU and think they would be a great candidate to spotlight for a future student story, please send their information our way. We’d be happy to reach out to them about collaborating on sharing their journey to ASU.

Eastern Arizona College transfer student supports students in MyPath2ASU program
Starting his collegiate career at Eastern Arizona College, Manuel Aparicio successfully balanced his studies with student athletics as a member of the school’s football program, in addition to serving as a wildland firefighter.
Inspired by his parents to pursue higher education, Aparicio credits them for their hard work and sacrifices that enabled him to continue with his education. Upon completing his associate degree, Aparicio decided to attend Arizona State University because of the diverse campus community and opportunities within the health care field. He now provides support for others on their transfer journeys as a transfer student ambassador.
“As a first-generation community college graduate coming from a diverse background, I feel that I have the ability to connect with prospective transfer students and to help them feel encouraged, accepted and confident in their decision to become a member of the Sun Devil family.”
Seeking his bachelor's degree in medical studies in the College of Health Solutions, Aparicio plans to attend dental school and become a practicing dentist after completing his program in spring 2024. He shares more about providing support to prospective students in the MyPath2ASU program.
