Transfer Times

ASU Transfer Times December 2021

Get to Know the ASU Community

People from around the world call Arizona State University home. Students from different backgrounds, identities and cultures find a welcoming community here. Your students will have access to people with diverse views who are invested in their education, creating a community of support and resources.

In fall 2021, ASU had over 6,600 new transfer students! Of these, over 1,000 were from the Maricopa Community Colleges, more then 250 from other Arizona community colleges, and over 5,000 were from outside of Arizona. At ASU more than 48 percent of all students are transfer students – so your students will feel right at home once they begin! We also have more than 31,000 students currently studying at community colleges across the nation, who have signed up for a MyPath2ASU pathway. Your students will be in good company!

A large portion of students also transfer in the spring. The best way for your students to begin planning their transfer is with the MyPath2ASU™ transfer experience. Your students can create a personalized course-by-course transfer plan and eliminate the guesswork from transferring. MyPath2ASU™ will also help students stay connected with ASU, select the right community college classes for their ASU bachelor’s degree, and save time and money, and minimize loss of credits during their transfer journey.

ASU combines affordable tuition with competitive financial aid packages, along with access to the classes you need, 400+ degree programs, world-class faculty and a reputation for excellence. Transfer students will have access to transfer tools and a group of transfer coordinators who support them every step of the way during their transfer process. We encourage your students to learn more about transferring to ASU!

Spring Into 2022 with Support from Our Transfer Student Ambassadors!

spring into 2022

ASU has a transfer student ambassador team dedicated to making the transition from community college to ASU a seamless experience. Your students can get a first-hand perspective on what it’s like to be a transfer student, directly from community college transfer students themselves.

Transfer Student Ambassadors are current students who are here to assist your students as they transition to the university. They can help students get signed up for a pathway to ASU, and offer insight about getting involved, making friends and what students can expect on a typical day as a Sun Devil. Keep an eye out for an introduction to our newest team members, and please encourage your students to reach out to our TSAs for that special peer-to-peer support!

Special Invitation for Admitted Transfer Students to the Tempe Campus!

RaiseMe at ASU: Microscholarships for Transfer Students

Raise me

Did you know that transfer students can earn microscholarships even before they start their first semester at ASU? As a participant in RaiseMe, students can earn microscholarships for a diverse array of activities that your students may already be accomplishing, such as volunteering and community service, earning “A’s”, visiting an ASU campus, completing the FAFSA, and of course signing up for MyPath2ASU™!

Awards earned through RaiseMe microscholarships are not combined with ASU institutional awards. However, ASU institutional awards will include any earned RaiseMe funds. Your students can explore the financial support options offered by ASU specifically for immersion transfer students. And if your students have any questions about their RaiseMe account or applying to ASU, please have them contact their ASU transfer coordinator.
