Central Arizona College transfer student inspired by community need, guided by MyPath2ASU
As a member of the Navajo Nation, Callie Edgewater witnessed firsthand the hardships her people faced, particularly the lack of access to clean water. This profound challenge ignited her passion for environmental engineering, and thanks to the MyPath2ASU program and ASU's partnership with Central Arizona College, Callie seamlessly transferred to ASU for her Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.
Having successfully navigated the transfer process, Callie offers this advice to fellow transfer students: "Never forget that you went to this college for a purpose and that you deserve to be there, so don't hold yourself back. Get involved, take initiative and, most importantly, believe in yourself and your abilities." Callie spoke with ASU News to share her transfer experience and plans for the future.
ASU's transfer student ambassadors provide peer-to-peer support
ASU’s transfer student ambassadors are excited to assist prospective transfer students as they transition from their community college to ASU. Not only do they answer questions about the transfer experience and navigating the university, they even host their very own peer-to-peer webinar and make campus visits.
TSAs share their transfer experiences, offer helpful guidance, provide resources and encourage students’ continuation on their path to becoming Sun Devils. They also help with signing up for MyPath2ASU! We encourage your students to reach out to the TSAs at transferambassadors@asu.edu or 480-727-4555.
