University Undergraduate Standards Committee

All petitions must be sent to provost@asu.edu for recording purposes and/or processing. Each petition should be submitted as a single PDF document and include (in this order) the following:

  • Fully completed University Standards Committee Petition form (Includes required Advisor, Academic Unit and College/School Standards Committee sections completed)
  • Any necessary supporting documents (i.e. advising notes, General Studies check-sheets, course syllabus, etc.)
  • Student's DARS
  • Student’s transcript

FAQs

Students can petition an exception to any university-wide academic requirement necessary for graduation. A list of university undergraduate graduation requirements can be found on the following website: University Undergraduate Graduation Requirements.

Committee members meet during the fall and spring semesters of each academic year; there are no meetings during the June and July summer months. Please visit the University Undergraduate Standards Committee Calendar for more detailed information on meeting times and locations.
