To support ASU’s continued efforts to improve learning for all students, UTO, EdPlus, and colleges and schools across the university are collaborating under the leadership of the Office of the University Provost to provide instructors with personalized professional learning opportunities to enhance remote teaching through ASU Sync.
For faculty teaching in classrooms this fall semester, there are three types of classroom configurations outfitted with technology for teaching ASU Sync via Zoom. You can look up what kind of configuration your classrooms will have by searching the Zoom Capabilities document.
The following technologies are available in classrooms.
This 60-minute webinar offers an overview of Sync essentials and introduces you to a series of self-paced modules and additional training opportunities, that provide ideas and resources for successful teaching and learning this Fall.
NOTE: This webinar introduces the essential elements of Sync and connects you with additional training and resources for the fall. It does not provide technical specifics involved with all courses.
Attendees visit specified locations at each campus location to learn first-hand about classroom capabilities. Specialists will answer questions, and provide a live demonstration.
Live Zoom-based tour of the Sync classroom describes classroom capabilities from a student’s perspective. Additional sessions will be added as demand increases.
Technology Orientation sessions are offered for Faculty and TA’s on all campuses. Whether you need a refresher or a full technology orientation, the best time to schedule is two weeks before the semester starts. You can schedule a brief session with a specialist to learn how to operate the classroom technology. The following are a list of on-demand, self-paced Canvas training modules to support teaching in Sync. These are the same modules that were in the two-week Sync Workshop but they have been divided to make the information more accessible in the on-demand format.
