ASU has a well established set of procedures and practices that ensure ethical and responsible conduct by its leaders, faculty, staff, and students, as well as financial undertakings and auxiliary functions, in fulfilling the institution’s mission. This set of mechanisms, checks, balances, and sanctions serves as the basis for the maintenance of an institutional culture that values fairness, honesty, inclusion, and transparency in all activities and areas of the university. These guidelines are visible, publicly accessible, thoroughly integrated into the operations of the institution, and are consistent with best practices in higher education. Overall, these approaches ensure a welcoming, secure, healthy and sustainable environment for students, faculty, staff, as well as visitors to the campuses.
