2026–2027 New Faculty Preparation
This page provides the resources, forms and information needed to prepare materials for ASU's 2026–2027 incoming faculty. Timely submission is critical in order to ensure faculty are included in university publications and recognition opportunities:
Please complete all applicable items by Tuesday, Sept. 1.

1. Review your college's profile in the annual booklet
Review your college's section of the New Faculty Booklet and update any content as needed. Changes should be made directly in your college's assigned Google Doc.
2. Submit new tenure/tenure-track faculty biographies
Submit biographies for eligible tenure and tenure-track faculty whose appointments begin during the 2026–2027 academic year. Submitted biographies will be included in the New Faculty Booklet and the university's online new faculty listing.
3. Schedule or upload faculty portraits
New faculty are encouraged to have a professional portrait taken during New Faculty Orientation.
Faculty who are unable to attend may upload a professional portrait using one of the online submission forms below. Submissions must adhere to the portrait specifications below.
- Professional business attire
- Head-and-shoulders composition
- White or light gray background
- JPEG format
- Minimum resolution of 300 dpi
- Minimum size of 5 × 7 inches

4. Recognize Highly Prestigious Awardees, if applicable
If an incoming faculty member has received a Highly Prestigious Award recognized by the National Academies, please submit the information so the university can appropriately recognize this achievement.
